Is it anyway possible to replicate this feature of the enterprise version of ez in the community edition?
Thanks for posting your question here. I’m trying to dig up some answers for you as I also shared your question on our Slack channels.
It won’t be exactly like the enterprise version but you can build an approval workflow using
Object States. Thanks to @wizhippo this feature has been exposed in eZ Platform v2.1.
Object States were used in eZ Publish to build editorial workflows. I know it’s an old documentation but it’s still valid: http://share.ez.no/learn/ez-publish/ez-publish-knowledge-series-editorial-workflow-with-object-states
The concept is the same, just the interface changed.
Great thanks I will give it a whirl.
Hi, has anyone had any luck implementing content review/approval via Object States in eZ Platform v2 Community Edition?
I have followed the guide posted by @sylvain.guittard but I see many problems:
1)The workflow only allows for content creation. I.e. once a content has been approved, the Bulk Editors are not allowed to update such content.
2)Object States are associated to Content Objects, not Content Object Versions
3)There is no notification system. Are there any events the system can listen to to send notifications(https://doc.ezplatform.com/en/2.2/cookbook/sending_notifications/) to next in line users?
Does anyone have any solutions? I really don’t want to go for the ‘eZ Platform v2 + Legacy Bridge + Netgen Admin UI’ option just because content approval is not possible in eZ Platform v2 Community Edition.
Thanks in advance
